Helping You Maintain A Healthy, Confident Smile

Routine check-ups and hygiene care

General dentistry focuses on protecting your teeth and gums, helping you maintain a healthy smile for life. Regular dental examinations allow us to monitor your oral health, identify any concerns early, and provide guidance to help prevent future problems. Alongside your check-ups, professional hygiene appointments help remove plaque and tartar build-up that brushing alone cannot reach.

We understand that every patient’s oral health is different, which is why we take the time to assess your individual needs during each visit. Your dentist and hygiene team will also provide tailored advice on brushing, flossing, and lifestyle choices that support long-term dental health. By attending regular appointments, you can help prevent minor issues from developing into more complex concerns.

We provide a range of both preventative and restorative dental treatments

Why choose us?

Check ups

When you come to us for a routine dental check-up, we’ll examine your mouth, teeth and gums to make sure everything is as it should be. The two major dangers for teeth are tooth decay and gum disease, but if the signs are spotted early both of these can be treated more easily – or prevented altogether.

Mouth Cancer Screening

During routine check-ups, we screen for early signs of mouth cancer. While the likelihood of detection is low, early identification significantly improves treatment success. Mouth cancer can impact various areas like the tongue, lips, and throat.

Fresh Breath Clinic

Maintaining oral health requires proper brushing, including your tongue, and regular flossing after brushing. Your dentist or hygienist can demonstrate effective home care. Thorough brushing eliminates plaque, the unseen bacteria layer on teeth.

Mouth guards

For sports enthusiasts, particularly in contact sports like rugby or football, we offer custom mouth guards for shielding teeth and gums against injuries. These guards also provide protection against issues like fractured or dislocated jaws. It's advisable to discuss this service with your dentist.

Protect Your Teeth And Gums

Periodontal or Gum Treatments

One of the main problems we look out for when you come for your dental check up is gum disease. Gum disease is a bacterial gum infection caused by bacterial plaque or calculus (hardened plaque). If detected early enough, gum disease can often be treated or even cured with a good dental hygiene routine.

If left untreated, gum disease can cause real problems however, as it can eventually destroy the fibres and supporting bone that holds your teeth in place. The best treatment is prevention, but if your gum disease is at an advanced stage we’ll work with you to create a treatment plan to manage the symptoms and protect your teeth and gums from further damage.

If you feel particularly anxious or nervous about visiting the dentist, don’t worry, we also offer IV sedation.

Supporting Your Oral Health At Every Stage Of Life

Care for the whole family

We provide dental care for patients of all ages, supporting healthy smiles from childhood through to later life. Early dental visits help children become familiar with the dental environment while allowing us to monitor the development of their teeth and offer preventative advice for parents.

As your dental needs change over time, our team will continue to support you with appropriate care and guidance. From maintaining strong, healthy teeth to helping manage age-related dental concerns, we are committed to helping you and your family enjoy long-lasting oral health through every stage of life.

Reliable Treatment To Restore Dental Health

Everyday dental care you can trust

General dentistry includes a wide range of treatments designed to restore and maintain the health, function, and appearance of your teeth. From repairing tooth decay with fillings to helping manage gum health, our team provides high-quality care using modern techniques and materials.

If you experience discomfort, tooth sensitivity, or notice changes in your oral health, we encourage you to speak with our team as soon as possible. Addressing dental concerns early can often prevent the need for more extensive treatment and help maintain your natural teeth for longer. Our priority is to deliver effective, comfortable treatment in a calm and welcoming environment.

Our Goal Is To Make Your Visit A Positive One

FActs & Questions

You can prepare your child by discussing the dentist in a positive light, reading books about dental visits, and explaining what to expect.

Most patients benefit from visiting the dentist every six months for a routine examination and hygiene appointment. However, the frequency of your visits will depend on your individual oral health needs. Your dentist will recommend a schedule that helps maintain your teeth and gums in the best possible condition.

Hygiene appointments play an important role in maintaining healthy teeth and gums. A dental hygienist focuses on removing plaque and tartar build-up, helping to prevent gum disease and tooth decay. They also provide personalised advice on brushing and flossing techniques to support your oral health between visits.

If your dentist identifies a dental concern during your examination, they will discuss your treatment options with you in detail. You will receive clear information about the recommended treatment, what it involves, and any alternative options available, allowing you to make an informed decision about your care.
